This tour will uncover the exotic secrets that lie within this secondary rainforest. You will ride through the mountains without reaching the mountain top. Your horse ride lasts approximately 2 and a half hours roundtrip and it will be highlighted by views of the valley, verdant vegetation and numerous wildlife species such as birds and reptiles.
At the end of the trail there is a beautiful waterfall where you will be able to rest for about 30 minutes. You can lounge on the grass or take a swim. You will then return retracing the same route.
Villa Vanilla Spice Plantation is located in the Central Pacific rain forest 10 miles east of Quepos overlooking Manuel Antonio National Park. The plantation includes 27 acres of agriculture production and 125 acres of primary and secondary rainforest. Cash crops include our major spice – vanilla, plus true ceylon cinnamon, cocoa, black pepper, allspice, turmeric, and a variety of exotic fruits, essential oil and medicinal plants. We also showcase our unique collection of epiphytes (airplants) including orchids, bromeliads, and tilandsias.

Even though it is one of the smallest national parks in Costa Rica, this is the home of more than a hundred species of mammals and birds, amazing landscapes of great mountains and a jungle of stunning forests that hide four white sandy beaches with a large marine biodiversity and beautiful coral reefs.
Inside the park you can find several hiking trails all with universal accessibility facilities, rest areas, scenic overlooks and scientific interpretations. FORBES ranked it amongst the 12 most beautiful parks in the world in 2011.
